WRGC Participates in St. Patrick's Day Parade

Many Wings members from the Recreational, Development, Competitive and Cheer Sport programmes marched through Athlone on Monday, March 18th.

Organised by Croí na hÉireann, the parade started at 2PM at Athlone Extrusions and finished at Burgess Park taking 40 minutes to pass through. Thirty-eight other groups and organisations took part with the WRGC being twenty-third in the running order.

Participants carried some festive mini ribbons and the Wings Rhythmic Gymnastics banner, kindly sponsored by MARSH NISSAN ATHLONE.

In addition to the parade, the Competitive squad kicked-off the season during the festive weekend with their St. Patrick's day control the day before, March 17. Squad members performed their routines and were judged by WRGC judges and provided with a score to see what went well and what needs improvement before more demanding events.

With their spirited display at this year's parade, Wings Rhythmic Gymnastics has once again proven that they are more than just a sports organization – they are a cornerstone of the community!
