St. Patrick's Day Parade 2024

Sign-up to take part in the parade and represent your rhythmic gymnastics club! Once you get your ticket your name and participation will be confirmed. We had a great turn out at last year's parade and we want as many of you to come out once again and represent your gymnastics/cheer club. Put on your club shirt, tracksuit or simply wear anything with club colours (white, black or gold) and join us through the streets of Athlone.

Gathering in preparation will start 12.30pm at Athlone Extrusions to allow time for face painting.

Roll call at 1pm.

First groups will be filtered on to the road from 1.45pm, to be ready to start behind the Army Band at 2pm. 

Weather is due to be cloudy, with a chance of light rain around 2pm, so dress accordingly.

If parents are dropping children and going to park elsewhere themselves, they should drive down towards the Bowling alley to turn & drop the kids on their way back to the road.

John Broderick Street (Dunne's Stores to Golden Island) is a sensory zone, where we ask all groups to march quietly, so that those with sensory problems can enjoy the spectacle.

The parade disbands at Golden Island, parents/guardians will be required to be here at the conclusion of the parade to pick up their children.
